IMAGEMAKER & STORYTELLER

As a lifelong image-maker and storyteller, I have always been drawn to the magic of compelling imagery. My journey began as a child with my Super-8mm movie camera and continued in the 35mm darkrooms of high school and art college. Throughout my 38-year career in the Motion Picture Industry, I honed my skills as a filmmaker, editor, writer, sometimes actor, and visual effects artist.

As a photographer, I am particularly drawn to visual tone poems that can evoke deep emotions in the viewer. In my work, a story or insight can inspire me to seek out a certain image, or a photo I capture can give birth to its own narrative. I never know how my muse will speak to me in those unexpected moments, and I am always surprised and delighted by how my viewers respond to my work.

For me, living with the understanding that uncertainty is an inescapable part of life is a central theme in how I see and explore the world. This keeps me constantly curious and on the edge of my seat, eager to discover what lies beyond the reach of our inner and outer conditioned perception. Life becomes a thrilling "page-turner" where image and story serve as the canvas for my artistic expression. I am excited to continue wandering and wondering as an artist, and I would love for you to join me on this journey.

Studied Photography and Film at the University of Kansas and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Led an adventurous and successful career at Universal, Artisan Entertainment, and Lionsgate.
